The Human Frontier Science Program (HFSP) supports novel, innovative and interdisciplinary basic research focused on elucidating the complex mechanisms of living organisms.

An international team including Athanasia Tzika at the LANE, Benjamin Palmer (Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, Israel) and led by Devi Stuart-Fox (Melbourne University, Australia) has been awarded a prestigious HFSP research grant to investigate the development of structural and pigmentary colours in reptiles. HFSP Research Grants are highly competitive: 25 projects were selected this year out of 560 applications.
