Pierre-Yves Helleboid

I obtained my master’s degree in Cell biology in the ‘Pierre et Marie Curie’ university in Paris in 2013. I then pursued a PhD program in the Laboratory of Virology and Genetics (LVG) in the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology of Lausanne (EPFL). There, I had the opportunity to study the largest family of human transcription factors: the KRAB Zinc Finger proteins. By determining their DNA binding sites and molecular partners, we got an insight into their functions and evolution. In 2021, I joined Sophia Genetics, a company involved in data-driven medicine. I integrated the LANE in January 2023 to work on chromatophores development in reptiles under the direction of Athanasia Tzika.
